As Vice President and General Counsel of North Jersey Media Group Inc., attorney Jennifer Borg oversees transactional and litigation matters for more than 50 daily, weekly, and monthly publications produced by the media company, including The Record and Herald News. Ms. Borg is also a member in good standing of several professional organizations. In keeping with her current role, the trade groups to which she belongs encompass both the fields of media and law.
Ms. Borg graduated from Denison University in 1987 with a BA in English. She then enrolled at Columbia Law School to pursue a law degree, graduating in 1990. Over the next five years, she practiced law at two different firms in New York City. During this time, Jennifer Borg became a member of the American Bar Association. Ms. Borg also belongs to the New York City Bar Association, the District of Columbia Bar, as well as the New Jersey and New York State Bar Associations.
Jennifer Borg also serves as President and a board member for the New Jersey Press Association. She also sits on the board for the New Jersey Press Foundation and the Eddie Adams Workshop, an annual conference for photographs and photojournalists.
Outside of her professional associations, Ms. Borg is active with several charitable organizations. She regularly volunteers with Fighting Chance, a Sag Harbor, New York-based group that provides resources and counseling for people with cancer as well as their families. Jennifer Borg is also the founder of Women United in Philanthropy, a giving circle based in Bergen County, New Jersey.
